Strafe Gaming Lounge is hosting Gears of War 3 2v2 Tournament with prizes supplied by Epic Games.
The event starts Saturday Feb 16th at 7:00pm Eastern and the entry fee is $10.00/player online $15 at door. Gears of War swag will be raffled off throughout the night! Raffle tickets will be given to tournament participants and will also be available for $1.
Tournament Details:
Alpha/MLG style rules:
Team Size: 2
Double Elimination- random seeding
Gametypes: Execution (first to 4)
Loadout: Lancer/Gnasher
Weapon Pick-ups: Default with the some custom swaps.
• Gorgon -> Hammerburst
• Boltok -> Retro Lancer
• Scorcher -> Sawed-Off
Weapon Respawn: Set to “After Pick-up” with quicker respawn times.
Teams consist of 2 players and will be sitting next to each other on 1 (one) 42″ LG HD TV (each TV is split screened). Opposing team will be on the other side of Strafe behind a physical wall so no screen watching will even be possible. Teams can bring their own unmodded controllers and we welcome any headsets like Triton and Turtle Beaches. Strafe has controllers for everyone but headsets are not given out by Strafe.
Prizes:
1st Place- Minimum of $60.00 Prize in CASH or 50% of the Pot, Gears of War 3 Swag & Strafe Daily Pass
2nd Place- $40 CASH Prize & Strafe Daily Pass
