Fuquay-Varina, NC (April 7 2012)-The national economy may still be slow, but you wouldn’t know it by walking into Strafe Gaming Lounge of Fuquay-Varina on April 7. The family fun center teamed up with APC, The Alliance of Professionals & Consultants, Inc. (http://www.apc-services.com/) to host an interview event for up to 45 open positions in the video game industry here in the Raleigh area.
APC was in search of nearly 45 positions for customer support of Massive Multiplayer Online Gaming for a growing company in Research Triangle Park. The turnout was expected to be upwards to 10-15 individuals, but the word got out and over 35 eager prospects attended with resumes in hand. Here is a link to the open position: http://apc.jobs/rpg/
The large turnout was due to the viral marketing efforts of Strafe Gaming Lounge’s facebook updates, the buzz that reached the Wake Tech video game department, the Fuquay-Varina Chamber of Commerce and the Fuquay-Varina Downtown Revitalization Association who marketed the event online.
“We couldn’t be happier with the success of the event and the ability to support local economic growth and the video gaming industry”, says Strafe Gaming Lounge owner, Paxton Galvanek. It’s a fact that Strafe and APC definitely put a surge in the local economy this holiday weekend.
APC has gone from a few hopeful applicants to sifting through resumes and second interviews finding the perfect candidates for the jobs. Thanks to APC and Strafe Gaming lounge, more individuals will have jobs in an industry they enjoy and a lucky company gets ideal employees.
